By request, here are some pictures of the 33 crocheted Cthulhus (pattern here) I have living with me right now. I’ve made more, but the others have been given away or sold or are living elsewhere right now (like at work).
These little guys normally live in a bag together. Most are or will be for sale when I have the time to work on an Etsy site & proper photos for them, but right now they’re just chilling with me. I call them a “menace” of Cthulhus because I think that’s the proper term for such a large group. “Flock” is too nice and “murder” was already taken by crows.
(On the site, clicking on the picture will display a larger picture in a lightbox, in a reader it’ll take you to the larger picture.)
The menace of Cthulhus as a unified group:
I couldn’t get them all to look the same direction—it’s quite hard with Cthulhus.

Cthulhus in Black and White
This trio are black, white, and white with a black sweater. They like hanging out together.
Baby (safe) Cthulhus
These little guys are both babies and baby-safe. They’re not smaller than the rest, but their eyes are stitched on with yarn so they aren’t a choking hazard.
So these are my little companions. Sometimes they come out and visit. Two more are in the process of being made and just need for me to find the time to finish them off. I’ve had to put both the Cthulhus and the Firefly cross stitch on hold while I work on a baby blanket for my cousin’s newborn. I’ve been working on making better Firefly patterns with some cross stitch freeware I found, maybe I’ll have those ready soon.
